DHR SPACE (DHealthRides) ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who We Are

DHR SPACE is the data controller for personal information processed through our website, consumer application, and related services (the "Platform"). You can reach us at info@dhealthrides.com.ng.

2. Information We Collect

  • Identity & contact information: name, email address, phone number, home or delivery address, and (for provider verification) government-issued identification.
  • Health-related information: blood group, test orders, sample types, and test results associated with your account. This is sensitive personal data and is handled with additional care as described below.
  • Location data: device or browser-reported location, used to find nearby facilities and coordinate sample/blood delivery.
  • Payment information: transactions are processed by our licensed payment partner. We receive confirmation of payment and a reference ID; we do not receive or store your full card or bank account details.
  • Usage & device information: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the Platform secure and improve reliability.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account;
  • To process and fulfil Orders, including coordinating with Service Providers and Bikers;
  • To process payments and prevent fraud;
  • To communicate with you about your Orders, account, or support requests;
  • To improve and secure the Platform;
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you register or grant location access), the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (fulfilling an Order), and our legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable platform, subject always to your rights under the NDPA.

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as necessary to provide the service:

  • The specific Service Provider (laboratory, hospital, or blood bank) fulfilling your Order;
  • The Biker assigned to collect or deliver your sample, results, or blood product, limited to the contact and location details needed to complete the delivery;
  • Our payment processor, to process transactions;
  • Regulators or law enforcement, where required by Nigerian law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal and health data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where necessary to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations, or to resolve disputes. You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 8.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls, to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Your Rights

Under the NDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe your rights have been violated.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some features.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. International Transfers

Some of our service providers (for example, cloud hosting or payment processing infrastructure) may process data outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we require appropriate safeguards consistent with the NDPA to protect your information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy here with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
